Data Protection Act 1998

Following the enactment of the Data Protection Act 1998, Group 5 Training have introduced a family of services designed to assist you to meet its legal requirements.

We offer training and consultancy services to organisations in all industry sectors.

Training

NOTE: Training services detailed here are run in association with the Business Information department of the British Standards Institution which provides services, guidance and training to help you maximise benefit from IT standards and other products - such as the Guide to the Practical Implementation of the Data Protection Act 1998

General Training

You can send delegates to Training Workshops run by BSI at their Chiswick headquarters. Group 5 Training work in association with BSI to deliver the content of these courses. There are courses on:

On-site Training

We can run a Training Workshop on your own premises. These can be tailored to your needs, and can include discussions on how the requirements of the Act can be met within your organisation.

Presentations

Are you running seminars or conferences? We can provide sessions on Data Protection tailored to your intended audience.

Consultancy

We can review your compliance with the Act, and report on issues found. We can then work with you to find practical ways resolve these issues with the minimum of effort.
